NFL To Interview All Of The Footballs Used In The AFC Championship Game

The NFL announced that as part of their intensive investigation into the Patriots deflated balls scandal, they intend to interview each of the footballs that were used during the AFC Championship. “We, as a league, have always been known to go the extra mile to make sure all the facts are collected and so that the proper punishment can be doled out,” Commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters at a news conference, “and with this investigation, it’s no different. Every last one of those footballs will be put through a rigorous interview process so that we can determine exactly what happened.” When reporters asked Goodell what sort of questions would be asked, Goodell simply stated, “That’s between us and the footballs. To say anymore would ruin the integrity of this investigation and the league. The integrity of the league is something, I am proud to say, I’ve done a good job keeping in tact.” When asked if Goodell could perhaps look into finding video evidence of members of the Patriots organization deflating the balls, Goodell said he has “no interest in that.”
